He always had a lot of time for his patients and genuinely cared for their health and happiness, so everyone was sorry when he decided to finally retire. Wahid was very proud of his daughter, Shazia Malik, who rose to become the local MP, and like her he had a real sense of fun.STAR SIGN: Dr Masud
"As a retired GP, I love getting involved in the community more. My daughter Shazia is exactly the same. I can't tell you how proud I am of her. Being elected to parliament was such an achievement, but no more than she deserves! Shazia's always worked so hard for everything - and with such passion. How many other people could have built such a successful political career and raised two wonderful sons? Shazia's such an independent and honest woman and now she's found the right man, I know she is truly happy.
"I know in the past I've caused Shazia many problems by helping Zak and Talib and I do regret that. But I don't regret my actions at the time. Obtaining a fake passport for Kamal may have been illegal but morally, how could we not help him...? I know Shazia understands the reasons why I do what I do."
