Football Legends - Nat Lofthouse
Beginning his career at Bolton Wanderers at the age of 14 in 1939, Nat Lofthouse went on to score a record 255 goals for the team and was capped 33 times playing for England. After a 1952 victory against Austria, he was given the unofficial title 'The Lion of Vienna' but, in this interview, he tells Jimmy Armfield why he considered himself to be just 'a lucky lad'. He is joined by his manager at Bolton, Walter Winterbottom, and some of his fellow squad members, who describe the life of a professional footballer long before the days of superstar players.
