A History of the WorldHow schools can get involved

If you're a school...

There are many ways that schools across the UK can get involved in the project. In addition to the radio series A History of the World in 100 Objects and objects on the website, CBBC are broadcasting Relic: Guardians of the Museum. Teachers can find lesson plans that show how the British Museum objects featured in the series can be used in the classroom.

Relic Challenge

During the 2010 Autumn term, A History of the World asked schools to take part in The Relic Challenge by working with local museums and uploading objects to the site.

Safety on the web

The BBC is committed to young people's safety on the web. It's important that a teacher, carer or family member over 16 is present or mediates young people's activity on this site, whether that is browsing or registering and uploading content on the site. Use the name of your school, not a class name, and only ever use a student's first name, when describing an object.
