This bee smoker belonged to my grandad who kept bees. In this 1970s my mum went too near the bees when she was 6 and they attacked her. She had made too much noise. My grandad saw and ran inside to get the smoker. He smoked the bees, then put them back in the hive.
My mum got stung badly but without the smoker she may have been seriously injured and almost killed. By Tom.
