Roles and responsibilities
Rhona is the Finance Director for Financial Planning & Insight at the BBC. She oversees management of BBC Group resources to ensure they are used effectively and efficiently
She is responsible for Group-wide mid-to-longer term strategic financial planning, corporate finance activities, and financial data and insights including data governance, data models and analytics.
Biography
Rhona has held a range of senior roles across the BBC, spanning operations, finance and large-scale transformation. She was previously Finance Director for BBC Nations, which delivers services across the UK from more than 50 locations, and Chief Operating Officer for BBC Radio & Education, where she managed finance, business, change and operations across multiple platforms.
Rhona is a Trustee of BBC Children in Need, chair of its Finance Audit and Risk Committee, and a member of its Investment Committee.
Before joining the BBC, Rhona worked as an Assistant Director in Mergers & Acquisitions. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has represented the BBC on several external bodies, including RAJAR and Radio Player.
