A search co-ordinated by the coastguard was called off on Tuesday morning, but a large number of local boats were continuing to look for Greg Robertson, 17, from Carradale in Argyll. The fisherman, part of a three man crew, was reported missing from the Campbeltown registered Shemaron on Monday night. Clyde Coastguard said lifeboats from Troon and Arran had been out all night combing the area with the help of around 20 local fishing boats. The Royal Navy minehunter HMS Walmey and three French warships, who were on a training visit to the Clyde, were also involved. Three coastguard rescue teams combed the shores of the Isle of Arran and Lamlash Bay. The coastguard said everything possible had been done to trace the man, who was not wearing a lifejacket, as the official search was called off. | See also: 27 Jun 02 | N Ireland 24 Jun 02 | Scotland 12 Apr 02 | Scotland Top Scotland stories now: Links to more Scotland stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
