Pride Park
The incident happened outside Pride Park
A police officer had his leg slashed during an incident outside Pride Park, in Derby, on Saturday.

The officer had become caught in a scuffle between fans after the game between Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday.

The constable is to undergo a minor operation in the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary on Sunday.

Derbyshire Police are carrying out an investigation into the incident, which followed a 2-2 draw between the rival teams.

The circumstances of the officer's injury are not yet known.
