| Monday, 18 November, 2002, 17:38 GMT Human remains are over 100 years old ![]() Police searched the beach at Warsash Detectives investigating the discovery of human remains on a beach in Hampshire have confirmed they are more than 100 years old. Officers were called to Warsash beach near Fareham at around 1515 GMT on Saturday after a group of walkers found the remains washed up on the shore. Families of missing persons had been informed but initial forensic examinations appeared to show the remains were very old. Testing eventually showed they belonged to a girl aged between 17 and 21 who died more than 100 years ago.
