Police said a fossil hunter found the body at 1830 BST on Wednesday on the beach between Culver Cliff and Yaverland, near Sandown.

Mr Saint vanished after he went sailing on his yacht at Birdham Pool near Chichester, West Sussex, two weeks ago.

His wallet was later found on a beach on the Isle of Wight.

The boat was discovered moored at Itchenor, near Chichester, soon after.

Blood was found in the galley and a blood-stained shirt was also on board.

David Alexander Macbride, 44, of Bramber Close in Bognor, has been charged with Mr Saint's murder.

He appeared at Worthing magistrates' court on Saturday where he was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 16 October.
