| Tuesday, 12 November, 2002, 17:56 GMT Rail delays on Thameslink ![]() Replacement buses will take passengers to Bedford Commuters in Bedfordshire are facing long delays on many Thameslink train services. Overhead power lines between Bedford and Flitwick have come down, forcing trains to stop at Flitwick. Thameslink says the problem is unlikely to be fixed before midday on Wednesday. The lines were brought down by the pantograph on a train - the gear which touches the overhead line. A series of measures to help passengers is in place. Replacement buses are being provided between Flitwick and Bedford. Services from London to Luton will start at Moorgate. London Underground, Silverlink and WAGN trains will accept Thameslink tickets on appropriate routes. Passengers are advised to visit the Thameslink website for travel updates. | See also: 11 Nov 02 | Scotland 06 Nov 02 | England 19 Jul 01 | UK Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top England stories now: Links to more England stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
