Appeal against wind farm refusal

Wind turbine
The company has appealed against the rejection of its plans

The company behind a proposal to build eight wind turbines near Jedburgh has lodged an appeal after the plan was rejected by Scottish Borders Council.

Windjen Power wants to construct the development on land south west of Dunion Hill.

The council rejected the proposals last year after planning officials advised that the landscape in the area was not suitable for the turbines.

That decision will now be reviewed by a reporter for the Scottish Government.
