Procedures for a public inquiry will be debated in Moffat |
A meeting is to take place in Moffat to work out procedures for the public inquiry into plans for a major wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway. The event is designed to arrange details for the inquiry into the scheme at Harestanes Heights in Ae Forest.
Scottish Executive officials will meet representatives from applicant Scottish Power and objectors to the plans.
Some opponents say the inquiry should be postponed until a national energy policy has been agreed.
The company said it had already adjusted its plans in response to local worries about the visual impact and the Ministry of Defence's concerns over low-flying issues.
Campaign group Trees Not Turbines claims the plans should be shelved until a national report on the subject has been delivered.
