The Post Office has announced the date when the main branch in Galashiels will be moved to a WH Smith store. The office will close on 24 October and will open at its new location in the Channel Street store the following day.
The switch is one of 11 such moves which are taking place across the country.
The Post Office has defended the controversial move, saying it is necessary to stem huge losses and protect services.
