Town one-way system moves closer
Melrose Market Square
A permanent one-way system is being proposed for Melrose
A permanent one-way system for Melrose town centre has come a step closer.

Members of the Eildon area committee agreed to go out to formal consultation on confirming the current temporary arrangements in the town.

They see traffic flowing in a clockwise system up Buccleuch Street, along Abbey Street and down the High Street.

If objections are lodged, councillors will have to take a final decision. A temporary traffic order for the current system runs out in March.
