The council said the move was aimed at helping accountability |
Aberdeen City Council has moved senior directors to take charge of key services, BBC Scotland has learned. The running of education and social work were highlighted as areas of concern in a critical Accounts Commission report. Now there will be senior managers with direct responsibility for the services, as well as housing. A council spokesman said re-aligning roles would help accountability as about 50m of cuts were being made.
