The "Aberdeen Assassin" triumphed in his home city
Aberdeen boxer Lee McAllister won the most important fight of his career on home territory.

The "Aberdeen Assassin" claimed the WBU lightweight title against former Commonwealth champion Craig Docherty from Glasgow.

The first professional world boxing title bout ever to be held in the city was at Aberdeen's Beach Ballroom.

A capacity crowd of 1,200 watched McAllister stop Docherty in the ninth round of the fight on Saturday night.
