The parents of a 20-year-old who died in a car crash in Aberdeenshire have spoken of their son's "happy nature". Nicholas Sim's parents said he was a happy and loving son who was devoted to his girlfriend and his job.
The statement continued: "Nicholas loved driving both his car and motorcycle. He had a very happy nature and will be sorely missed by us all."
Mr Sim's death on the A920 at Pitmedden on Friday was one of 13 fatalities on Scotland's roads this weekend.
A spokesperson from Grampian Police said: "Our sympathies go out to Mr Sim's family at this extremely difficult time.

"Our enquiries are still at an early stage and we would urge anyone who witnessed the collision which occurred about 1930 hours on Friday 26 January 2007, to get in touch with us"
Mr Sim's said everyone had been hit extremely hard by their sudden loss.
The statement read: "He loved his job with Dolphin, and was making great progress there.
"Nicholas loved driving both his car and motorcycle. He had a very happy nature and will be sorely missed by us all.
"We cannot begin to express how we are feeling at this time."
