The funeral of one of the men who died when an RAF Nimrod crashed in Afghanistan in September has taken place in the Moray town of Forres. About 700 mourners turned out to pay their last respects to Flt Sgt Steve Beattie, one of 14 men to die in the incident.
Flt Sgt Beattie, 42, was a systems operator serving with 120 Squadron.
Twelve of the men were based at RAF Kinloss. This was the first funeral to be held in Scotland.
The funeral of Flt Lt Gareth Nicholas, 40, from Newquay, took place on Friday. He was also based at RAF Kinloss.

The crash led to claims that the reconnaissance aircraft were too old to fly in a war zone.
The Nimrod MR2 aircraft crashed on 2 September near Kandahar after a suspected technical fault.
Flt Sgt Beattie, who was originally from Dundee, lived in Forres, just a few miles from the airbase.
He is survived by his widow Shona and two children, Bethany, 12 and Cameron, nine.
The funeral was held at the Forres Parish Church of St Laurence.
