Commuters heading into Inverness have a new way of getting around the city with the launch of an initiative designed to cut down on congestion. The Re-Cycle project allows people to borrow bicycles to complete their journey to work.
Bikes handed into the police which have remained unclaimed are being offered to commuters travelling in by train, car or bus.
Cycles are being made available at Rose Street car park.
Commuters will have to book a bike in advance and return it after work, with users given a code for the cycle's lock.
The project also involves Highland Council and Highlands and Islands Transport Partnership (Hitrans).
