A 1.2m sexual health centre has opened in the east end of Glasgow. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's Sandyford East initiative in Parkhead was officially launched by Health Minister Andy Kerr.
The sexual, reproductive and emotional health centre is a first for the east end, said the health board.
The service delivers care and support for people with sexual infections and services include pregnancy testing and menopause clinics.
Mr Kerr said: "We want everyone, regardless of where they live, to have access to local sexual health services.
'Highest quality care'
"The new Sandyford East hub is exactly the sort of approach we have envisaged for services across Scotland."
A free, confidential, walk-in sexual health service for men, women and young people is available four days a week.
Clinical Director, Dr Alison Bigrigg, said: "Sandyford is proud to offer the highest quality sexual and reproductive health care in new state-of-the-art premises."
Sandyford East is the second in a planned series of "hubs" of the city-centre based Sandyford Initiative.
The first hub was opened in Govanhill last year.
