SNP 2009 spring conference agenda

The SNP is meeting for its spring conference in Glasgow, on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 April.

Here is the agenda for the two-day gathering.

FRIDAY, 17 APRIL

13.30: Delegates assemble.

14.00: Tributes to Bashir Ahmad MSP and Professor Sir Neil MacCormick.

14.05: Welcome speech by John Mason MP .

14.15: Conference resolutions, including: 75th anniversary of the SNP; Commonwealth Games; violence against women; third runway at Heathrow Airport; 2012 Olympic GB football team; supporting local food produce.

14.45: Topical Resolutions.

15.15: Speech by Nicola Sturgeon MSP , deputy first minister of Scotland and health secretary.

15.45: Conference resolutions.

17.00: Close of session.

SATURDAY, 18 APRIL

09.30: Delegates assemble.

09.45: Office bearer reports.

10.30: Update on "road to the referendum", from Bruce Crawford MSP, minister for parliament, with speeches from Mike Russell MSP, culture and constitution minister, Stewart Hosie MP, Joe Fitzpatrick MSP and David Alexander.

11.00: Conference resolutions, including: Fiscal borrowing powers; PFI and public ownership of banks; financial education; employment prospects of graduates and young people; tackling the recession and delivering economic growth; manufacturing.

12.30: Close of session.

13.30: Delegates assemble.

14.00: Conference resolutions, including: World heritage sites; Royal Mail; health and wellbeing.

15.00: Topical Resolutions.

15.25: Introducing the European election candidates.

15.30: Speech by Alex Salmond MSP, MP , first minister of Scotland and SNP leader.

16.00: Vote of thanks.

16.05: Close of session.
