Thomas Loughrey died from his injuries |
A teenager who murdered a Celtic fan has been branded an animal by the judge who sentenced him to life in prison. James McCormick knifed 17-year-old Thomas Loughrey, who was wearing his favourite hoops top, in the Pollokshaws area of Glasgow on 27 July this year.
The High Court in Kilmarnock heard that McCormick, 17, of Arden, Glasgow, had drunk a cocktail of lager and gin on the day of the killing.
Judge Lord Hardie said the youth should spend a minimum of 15 years in jail.
