Cameron says he is a fan of the show |
Big Brother winner Cameron Stout has presented one of BBC Radio Scotland's oldest and most popular programmes. Robbie Shepherd is on holiday, so Cameron exchanged the Big Brother diary room for the presenter's chair on The Reel Blend on Sunday afternoon.
The quietly-spoken fish trader from Orkney emerged as the nation's choice after nine weeks in the Big Brother house.
He has now become one of the few presenters to replace Robbie Sheperd, who has presented The Reel Blend's mix of traditional Scottish music since 1981.
"It's brilliant, these guys are famous personalities and here I am, just because I'm on Big Brother I'm getting to do loads of cool stuff like this, so it's fantastic," said Cameron.
"I listen to The Reel Blend, I listen to it on the road home on a Sunday when I'm going to my mum and dad's for my dinner."

Robbie was among the millions of viewers who watched Cameron win the fourth series of Big Brother and said he had no qualms about handing over the reigns of his show. "He came across as such a sincere lad and having met and spoken to him a few times since, he's just ready made for the job," he said.
"The Reel Blend is all about tradition, all about the different aspects which includes the dialect, includes the genuine tongue.
"He's got a genuine Orkney dialect, I like to think that I've got a genuine north east one, so we get on great together - a hoose is a hoose, no matter where the hoose is."
