Met begins expenses investigation

Scotland Yard has announced it will conduct a criminal investigation into the alleged misuse of expenses by MPs and peers.

Labour MP David Chaytor has confirmed he has been contacted by the police, and the BBC also understands Elliot Morley and Labour peer Baroness Uddin are under investigation.
