Iraq inquiry to be held in private

The prime minister has confirmed that an inquiry into the Iraq war will take place behind closed doors.

Gordon Brown said the hearing would not apportion blame which drew criticism from the Conservative leader, David Cameron.

Nick Clegg, leader of the Liberal Democrats, added that an inquiry must be held in the open.
