Pressure on PM to stand down

Gordon Brown is facing calls to stand down - from within his own party.

The Pensions Secretary, James Purnell, has resigned to put pressure on the Prime Minister.

Barry Sheerman, one of Labour's senior backbenchers, has told the BBC he wants a secret ballot of Labour MPs on whether Mr Brown should continue.
