Minister quits and tells PM to go

There has been a fresh blow to Gordon Brown's leadership - before a single vote has been counted for the local and European elections.

The Work and Pensions Secretary, James Purnell, has announced he is resigning.

However, more ministers have been coming out in support of Gordon Brown, as the BBC's Mike Sergeant reports.
