MP: Our profession looks 'shameful'

Details about the expenses of the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Shaun Woodward have been reported in a national newspaper.

The Daily Telegraph alleges the MP claimed tens of thousands of pounds to help cover his mortgage interest payments, as well as claiming for some food items for his staff.

Speaking on the Politics Show in Belfast, Mr Woodward admitted the political profession looked ''shameful''.
