Catalans Dragons rugby players bailed after Leeds brawl

Five players from rugby league team Catalans Dragons have been bailed after being questioned about an altercation in Leeds which left two men injured.

The players and four other men were arrested after a CCTV operator reported a disturbance in Boar Lane, in the city centre, at 0215 GMT on Monday.

Police said the men had been released on bail while inquiries continue.

Two men were treated in hospital after the incident but police said their injuries were not serious.

The arrests followed the French club's 28-20 defeat against Wakefield Wildcats on Sunday.

Catalans Dragons said it was "co-operating fully with the police in their investigations".
