Rugby players arrested over brawl

Five players from rugby league team Catalans Dragons have been arrested after an altercation in Leeds which has left two men in hospital.

The players were among nine men arrested after a CCTV operator reported a disturbance in Boar Lane, in the city centre, at 0215 GMT on Monday.

The men who were taken to hospital are not thought to have life-threatening injuries, West Yorkshire Police said.

Catalans Dragons lost a game against Wakefield Wildcats on Sunday.

The French club said it was "co-operating fully with the police in their investigations".
