Train company increases penalty
A West Midlands train company is to double the fines it charges people who dodge fares.

From Tuesday, Central Trains will be increasing its penalty from 10 to 20.

The company hopes the higher fine and a naming and shaming campaign will eventually halve the number of people travelling without a ticket.

Last month, Central Trains said it had caught more than 80 fare dodger who were charged a total of almost 14,000 in fines.
