Strike action hits train services
Many Central Trains services across the Midlands were suspended on Sunday as staff went on strike over pay.

Senior conductors have taken the action in a dispute over Bank Holiday pay relating to Christmas 2004.

The RMT union has said they should be given time off in exchange for working on two holiday dates.

Sunday's strike was the first of three proposed strike days over the next two weeks. Central Trains says it has contingency plans in place.
