Strike action cuts train service
Train passengers across the East Midlands have been affected by industrial action.

Senior conductors went on strike in a dispute over Bank Holiday pay.

The RMT union has also announced further one-day strikes for the next two Sundays, affecting services right across the company's network.

Services on Central Trains were affected, though Sunday timetables have been disrupted by engineering work for some time.

Replacement bus services operated on many affected routes.

The RMT union said it staged the walkout because it thinks senior conductors should be given time off in exchange for working on two bank holidays last December.
