Overtime ban starts at Land Rover
Land Rover Freelander
Union leaders plan to meet in the new year to discuss their next move
Unions at Land Rover in Solihull and Warwickshire have banned overtime in a dispute over pay.

Workers also plan to withdraw flexible working time arrangements unless the row is resolved soon.

They are pressing for an increase in an offer of a 6.5% rise in pay over two years and have said they want parity with employees at Jaguar.

It means around 8,300 workers Solihull and at Gaydon in Warwickshire will work a maximum of 37 hours per week.

But despite two thirds of the workforce voting for industrial action last week, union leaders are not calling for workers to strike, in the hope the issue can be resolved.

If no solution is found, union leaders plan to meet in the new year to discuss their next move.

Amicus national officer, Duncan Simpson, said the unions were keen to iron out their disagreements with Land Rover.
