Proms in park attracts thousands
Journey South
Journey South performed at the event
Thousands of people have attended the BBC Proms in the Park in Middlesbrough.

Performers at the event, which took place in the town's Centre Square, included the Northern Sinfonia and X-Factor finalists Journey South.

Similar events were held on Saturday in London's Hyde Park, Carrickfergus Castle in Northern Ireland, Swansea and Glasgow.

The official attendance for the event, the first time it has been held on Teesside, was 5,582.

BBC Tees presenter Matthew Davies hosted the evening.
