City car parking price increases
Car parking charges are going up in Stoke-on-Trent.

The hourly rate is increasing by 10p, the daily rate by 50p and the night-time rate by 20p.

The council said it did not want to raise the cost of parking by too much and potentially put off shoppers from coming to the city centre.

The council admits the issue of car park charges is a contentious one but feels the changes are fair. The price increases are the first since 2003.
