A public inquiry into a fatal crash near Brighton in which eight people were killed has been called for. Lord Berkeley raised the issue in the House of Lords, asking whether the government would be investigating the accident, which happened on 16 May.
The Labour peer, who is president of the Road Danger Reduction Forum, was told it was too early for a decision on whether an inquiry would be held.
Police investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
