The marathon will raise money for charity. |
Organisers of the Bath Half Marathon say extra resources will avoid the problems experienced in 2008. The 13-mile run was delayed by one hour last year because of muddy conditions in the race holding area and stranded runners at park-and-ride sites. Andrew Taylor, event organiser, says this year's event will be better because of extra effort and resources. He said additional park-and-ride services would be provided and walkways laid for the holding area. About 15,000 people are due to run in the event on Sunday. Money raised will go to charity.
