Protest over RAF base contract
RAF Cosford
The PCS says it will carry on the fight for jobs at Cosford
A protest is due to be held in London against plans to move hundreds of defence jobs from Shropshire to Wales.

Last year Defence Secretary Des Browne said RAF St Athan, in south Wales, had won a 16bn training contract ahead of RAF Cosford in Shropshire.

It means the future is unclear for Cosford's Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering.

The Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) is still contesting the decision and is leading the protest.

Wrekin MP Mark Pritchard said he hoped people would support Thursday's protest at the Ministry of Defence, and another taking place in Wales.
