An extra �1m aid is to be spent in parts of Shropshire which were severely affected by flooding. Regional development agency Advantage West Midlands said the money would be spent in five areas which include South Shropshire and Bridgnorth.
Large parts of Ludlow were flooded at the weekend, only two weeks after the area was hit by flash flooding.
Meanwhile, the National Ballooning Championships, due to take place in Ludlow, have been cancelled.
It is the first time in the event's 32-year history that they have been called off entirely.
Organisers said it would be "irresponsible" to go ahead when farmers are struggling with the flood and its aftereffects.
The money announced by Advantage West Midlands is in addition to the �10m promised by the government to be spent across the country.
Other West Midlands areas to get a share of the �1m are Malvern Hill, Wychavon and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Elsewhere, water levels in Shrewsbury peaked on Monday and are now falling slowly.
Frankwell car park, along side the River Severn, has partly re-opened but the river at Shrewsbury, Buildwas and Ironbridge still has a flood warning in place.
