Heavy showers prompt flood fears
Residents in Worcestershire and Shropshire are being warned about rising water levels on the River Severn after several days of heavy rain.

The Environment Agency has issued flood watches for the river in both counties and more rain is forecast on Tuesday.

Frankwell car park in Shrewsbury is to close later as it is expected to be under water on Wednesday.

The Environment Agency said levels at the Welsh Bridge gauge in Shropshire will rise to about 3.5m (11.4ft).

Last month flood warnings were issued along the River Severn from Shropshire to Gloucestershire after heavy rain.
