Residents can keep an eye on river levels
Residents and business owners nervous about flooding can keep an eye on water levels through a new webcam.

The camera has been installed in Victoria Quay in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, looking over the Welsh Bridge and the River Severn.

A council spokesman said he thought it would prove popular.

"People like to be able to keep an eye on the level of the Severn," he said. The camera will also be used to follow construction of the town's new theatre.

Theatre Severn is being built along the banks of the river.
