Obesity programme scoops awards | | A project to tackle childhood obesity in Shropshire has won two top awards. The Why Wait programme in Telford aims to teach whole families how to change their eating and exercise habits to help their children lose weight. Now the scheme has been awarded the Primary Care Award for Excellence in tackling childhood obesity and Best Practice in Primary Care. Telford and Wrekin Primary Care Trust started the 12-week course earlier this year with diet and fitness classes.
