A health summit for Telford has been organised following the resignation of a county hospital trust chairman. Phil Homer stepped down from the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust over plans to cut services at one of the hospital's paediatric wards.
Telford MP David Wright has organised the summit to help end "an ongoing uncertainty" over the plans.
The meeting, due to be held on 8 August, will be attended by town and parish councils from across Shropshire.

Plans to cut night-time paediatric cover at The Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) are being discussed by the trust.
If the plans are approved, emergency cases would be sent to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
Mr Wright said: "I will not stand by and see services slowly disappear from the PRH bit by bit.
"I think that the paediatric proposal is a temporary change but I want to see a strong commitment to quality services at the PRH in the future and we need to campaign for that now.
"Mr Homer's resignation has provided a window of opportunity for an open and honest debate about hospital services in Telford and Shrewsbury."
Mr Homer, who had been the chairman of the trust since the merger of the two hospitals in 2003, announced his resignation on Thursday.
A Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals Trust spokesman said the issue of paediatric services would be discussed in a public session, and that any proposals were always in the interest of providing robust services to the public.
