Ex-hospital chief faces charges
Neil Taylor
Mr Taylor is a former head of Birmingham's Royal Orthopaedic Hospital
The former chief executive of Shropshire's main hospital trust has been charged with deception.

The move follows an investigation by the NHS Counter Fraud Service into allegations that Neil Taylor provided false information on his CV.

Mr Taylor, 42, from Solihull, West Midlands, resigned from his position at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals Trust last October.

He is due to appear at Shrewsbury Magistrates' Court on 11 July.

The Counter Fraud Service said there were no further plans to investigate Mr Taylor and no-one else was being investigated.

He had been chief executive of the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital before it merged with the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford to form the new trust.

Mr Taylor, who was charged with three counts of deception, was also previously chief executive of the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham.
