Legionnaires' case confirmed
A suspected case of Legionnaires' disease in Shropshire has been confirmed.

Tests on an 84-year-old Shrewsbury woman proved she had contracted the disease.

Doctors say they are still trying to find out how she developed Legionnaires'.

The woman, from Bayston Hill, was admitted to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital last week.

She has now left intensive care.

Health officials said the case is not being linked to the recent outbreak in Hereford.
