Disruption caused by the snow in Oxfordshire has begun to clear, but forecasters have warned of more snow later. Most schools opened on Tuesday with only a few deciding to shut, but some drivers have had to suffer delays in travelling to work. Royal Mail said it was "working hard" to keep mail moving after some routes become impassable. The Met Office said more snow was expected later. A severe weather warning has been issued for Oxfordshire, with up to 5cm of snow expected in some places later on Tuesday into Wednesday. Mail deliveries have been disrupted over the past few days in some areas. A Royal Mail spokesperson said: "We are doing everything we can to keep the mail moving but we have faced major difficulties in some areas because of the extreme weather conditions and unfortunately some services were severely disrupted. "Our postmen and women are working hard to keep the mail moving and are making deliveries to the majority of addresses." Household waste collections are still being disrupted because of the bad weather. Collections have resumed in some parts of the county but some rural roads are still too icy.
