The final phase of repairs that were delayed on an Oxfordshire bridge due to the July floods is to get under way. Work on Bluebird Bridge, which carries Concorde Avenue over the canal near Spiceball Park Sports Centre in Banbury, was scheduled for 23 July.
But due to the deluge, the project had to be postponed until 3 September.
The avenue will be shut in a southbound direction from 0600 BST on Saturday until 0600 BST on Monday. Diversions will be put in place, the council said.
"Concorde Avenue will be closed between its junction with Cherwell Drive and the Bridge Street traffic signals," a spokesman for Oxfordshire County Council said.
"Diversions will be signed via the A422 Hennef Way and A361 Southam Road.
"However, a single northbound lane will be maintained over Bluebird Bridge throughout the work."
