Nominations for the awards must be in by 5 July
Environmentally-friendly businesses across Oxfordshire are being urged to put themselves forward for an award.

Oxfordshire County Council says it wants to reward companies that have done the most to make the county one of the greenest in the country.

It will judge seven categories, including sustainability, rural businesses and social enterprise.

Oxfordshire has regularly topped government recycling targets. Entries for the awards must be in by 5 July.

Adam Symons, Head of Waste Management, said: "The aim of the awards is to acknowledge the most significant steps made by businesses in environmentally friendly policies and practices this year, to reward and encourage lasting efforts and to make Oxfordshire a greener county."
