Tributes to hit-and-run victim
Crash scene
Police were stopping motorists to see if anyone had seen the accident
Tributes have been paid to a schoolgirl knocked down and killed in a hit-and-run accident.

Jennifer Koester, 14, was airlifted to hospital but died of her injuries after the crash in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, on Friday.

Linda Sutton, Jennifer's form tutor at Faringdon Community College, said: "Jenny was a popular girl and was liked by them all. We will never forget her."

Specialist counsellors have been on hand at the college to help students come to terms with Jennifer's death.

'Friendly and chatty'

Marilyn Tasker, year nine co-ordinator, said: "Jenny will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but especially by year nine students.

"She was always cheerful, friendly and chatty, and we all loved her."

On Monday night, police stopped drivers using the A417, to see if anyone had witnessed what happened.

Jenny had just stepped off a bus when she was involved in a double collision, with both a van and a car.

The car did not stop, but has since been found by police at Stanford-in-the-Vale.

Police are urging the car driver to come forward, and want to hear from anyone who may have seen them leaving the vehicle.
